May 31 ⬥ BETWEEN BLACK & WHITE: Asian Americans Speak Out Film Screening

Join us on Wednesday, May 31, 7:30pm at Northwest Film Forum for a screening and community talkback to celebrate the PBS launch of BETWEEN BLACK & WHITE: ASIAN AMERICANS SPEAK OUT.

The conversation about race in America is often between Black and White, with Asian Americans and others left out. BETWEEN BLACK AND WHITE examines the opportunities for allyship and coalition building between Asian Americans and other communities of color in the U.S. and the urgency of joint efforts to address racism. This 3-part series explores how cross-racial and cross-cultural solidarity has been tested, and what those lessons can teach us about our current fight for tolerance and justice.

Join educators, activists, and civic leaders for a discussion on the challenges and opportunities Asian Americans face as they build coalitions with other communities, races, and religions, find hope in solidarity, and stand together to fight hate.
