In Loving Memory of Della Chen
We are deeply saddened by the loss of beloved filmmaker and SAAFF 2024 alumnus Della Chen (@dellachenphoto), a cherished member of Seattle’s Chinatown-International District community.
Her film, She Marches in Chinatown (@chenanigan_films), beautifully honored the powerful legacy and spirit of the Seattle Chinese Community Girls Drill Team. Della’s storytelling captured the heart of a community and the strength of its traditions.

We also plan to host a free public screening of She Marches in Chinatown this summer to honor Della’s work and legacy. More details to come.
