Description

Join us at Hing Hay Park in the Chinatown-International District for a free outdoor screening of “Allegiance.”

Inspired by true events, “Allegiance” is the story of the Kimura family, whose lives are upended when they and 120,000 other Japanese-Americans are forced to leave their homes following the events of Pearl Harbor.

Come early for performances by Seattle Kokon Taiko (SKT)Troy OsakiAnime Creek, and Arden Fujiwara. Performances start at 7:30 p.m., film starts at 8:30 p.m.

We’ll supply the chairs. Bring the kids, some water, and an extra sweater just in case. See you at Hing Hay Park!

The SAAFF C-ID Summer Cinema series is presented by Seattle Asian American Film FestivalInterIm Community Development Association, and Seattle Parks and Recreation.
