20th Century Woman
Directed by Katherine Cuscatlán
21st CENTURY WOMAN takes a scene from the Academy Award-nominated screenplay for the film of the same name (dir. Mike Mills, 2016), and reimagines it with a Chinese American family in San Francisco.
Katherine Cuscatlán’s mixed heritage (Chinese/Salvadoran) deeply informs her work. She is especially drawn to stories about cultural intersection & disconnection, and people who challenge stereotypes of race, gender, and class. Katherine is currently in her second year in the Directing MFA program at the Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema.
