  2. THE CURSE OF QUON GWON: WHEN THE FAR EAST MINGLES WITH THE WEST

    Filmed in 1916, this seminal work is the oldest known Chinese American movie and one of the earliest movies to have a female director. Never released and long-thought lost, the incomplete film was eventually rediscovered and restored. It was recognized as a culturally, historically and aesthetically significant film by the National Film Registry.

From the gritty exploration of his cultural identity to the evolution of his artistic style, this film explores the whimsical and cross-cultural relevance of Enfu's work which has won him fans around the world.
