Description

A recently-retired yakuza plans to start a new life with his girlfriend. But when the truth of his situation comes out, it reveals more about himself than he ever imagined.

Director/writer Susumu Kimura is scheduled to attend.


Director's Bio

Born and raised in Japan, Susumu discovered his love of film editing while studying film at Emerson College in Boston. Since then he has been a working editor in both countries. He has edited several short films: To The Bone (Slamdance select), My Dear Americans (PBS online film festival winner) and Kepler X-47 (Webby nominee). He also edited Pray for Japan, a documentary about tsunami disaster in the country. Last year he wrote and directed DEAR SUSAN, which was selected for Vancouver Film Festival. YAKUZA NO. 2 is his second writing/directing effort.
