Description

Kenneth, a suburban husband, is fed up with the neighborhood kids cutting through his backyard to get to the woods behind his house. But when he goes to confront them, he unexpectedly finds a possible escape from his humdrum life.


Director's Bio

Weldon Powers is a Chinese American writer-director from Atlanta, Georgia. His work in short form comedy has garnered much attention and acclaim, working with the likes of the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater and Def Jam. In 2009, Weldon co-founded the comedy website NorthsideComedy.com, which produces alternative non-stereotypical urban comedy. Also a feature-length screenwriter, Weldon’s screenplay Uncle Tommy Goes To The Suburbs was selected for Project Catalyst at the 2011 Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival. His last short film was The Tokens, a dramatic piece that explores the roles of racial minorities in social groups and has played at film festivals all over the U.S. Weldon received his B.A. in Screenwriting from the City University of New York, Hunter College.
